Behold the Notion Peace

At a half a planets distance,
there would be the place we’d meet.
Blades of green would touch 10 senses
as they gave beneath our feet.
Half the perfect gin precedes the perfect cup of tea
And all the questions we abhorred
have taken place on the back seat.
Behold the notion peace.
Peace of mine and peace of yours.
Piece of home with open doors.
Flaws adorned and up at dawn
a glistened greeting’s all you saw.
It’s…
sort of like,
a good nights sleep,
or waking up with itchy feet.
Dancing as you walk the streets
and singing every word you speak.
Repeat after me.
I and I
And you and you
Know the truth
So here’s a clue.
When we hence meet in perfect blue,
us will be the world we choose.

5-7-5

I move by the sounds,
of the life I hear so live.
Tell, what brings you here?

3rd Time Lucky

How must we now,
explain what we do.
When we do what we do,
as we are what we are.

Hold it down

To hold it,
dear.
Is more than just good grip on dangerous horns.

Although the fear of I brings unaccustomed strength,
I cannot rely on fear alone to stand this,
the test of time.
What's mine is yours.

What's yours aint mine.

'Twas not just once I left my heart at home,
to dry of blood and resurrect,
as nothing but a stone.

Here's to Hope

With the chance of light suddenly materialising,
The heavily-rusted, weighty door tentatively edged itself open.
We looked on in disbelief.
For though its presence had not yet been forgotten,
It had long been ignored.

As such an irregular occurrence was arising,
We cast our thoughts to the now obvious change in conditions.
The atmosphere no longer feeling heavy and dull,
The moist air shifting to a dryer, warmer consistency.
A sparkle of chance gifted the empty corner with an opportunity to once again feel hope.
To understand its years of drought and famine,
And move closer towards what it had always known would be its true calling.

Its sole occupant had been locked away for some time,
So long she had almost forgotten the dreams she yearned over for so many years.
It would be one thing for the door to open,
But another for her to venture back out into the harsh and ruthless world.
With a swift glance through the emerging crack,
Her anxieties rose for fear of a repeating future,
For she had once known the delights of the sweet outdoors,
But had also known the anguish of being taken back and kept at bay.

Had the door stayed shut,
She could have carried on as normal.
She needn’t have ever known a change had come about and stayed safe within the confines of the four walls of freedom.
As swiftly as the door had opened,
It once again began to close.

She lay in a lost state,
For although her fears could now be laid to rest,
She had been reminded of the endless possibilities the light could bring her.
With the door now fully shut,
The atmosphere returned to what we had become accustomed to.
We went back to our daily routines and pondered what it might have seen,
For we knew only potential greatness could stir it from its long-standing hibernation.

Although it could be years before we know the answer,
We gained faith in the knowledge that the space was still aware,
And one day it would open once again.
Whenever that day may be,
We will see her in all her glory.
Beauty personified.
Nothing short of a fairy-tale ending.

Here’s to hope.

Pain

It doesn't matter that I'm hurting.
That i'm flirting.

With a broken heart.

It's all part of being loved
and loving.

Inflation

Nurture.
Why?
Natural growth brings natural high.
